Anna Marie "Cookie" Lamont passed away peacefully on July 2 ^nd , 2019 at age 71 after her long struggle with cancer.

Anna was born on January 16 ^th , 1948 to Great Lakes Maritime Captain John Furgal, and the beautiful Regina Malinowski. They lived in Erie, Pennsylvania where Anna spent her childhood and eventually graduated from St. Benedict Academy in 1966.

Anna throughout her childhood dreamt of becoming a nurse. While working and raising four children, and through countless sleepless nights, Anna made that dream come true. She graduated from Lakewood Nursing school and went on to become a dedicated nurse for over thirty years. In her retirement she went on to publish her book "After the E.R.", a collection of stories depicting the aftermath of tragedy. She also went on to patent her own greeting cards called "Cookie Cutter Cards".

Anna was an animal lover with a huge heart. Throughout her life she owned and cared for countless horses and dogs, with her favorite dog breed being Pugs. Anna had a vivacious personality which made it easy for her to make friends everywhere she went. She was truly loved and will be missed by many.

Anna is survived by her husband of forty-three years Daniel A. Lamont. A loving mother to her predeceased son, Dennis Zaffino. She is survived by her son, Daniel Lamont, as well her daughters Kimberly Murton, and Lynnae Kiser. Anna was a Loving and Compassionate Grandmother and Great Grandmother to many, and was a great dog mom to Mahna.

Please join us to celebrate her life on Friday, July 19th between 11:30 AM through 1:30 PM at Blessing-Hine Funeral Home and Crown Hill Cemetery located at 8592 Darrow Rd, Twinsburg, OH 44087. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
