Betty Lou Chilton (nee Thompson), 84, of Macedonia, passed away peacefully on Jan. 5, 2019 at Heartland of Twinsburg nursing home. She was born on Nov. 27, 1934 in Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania. Betty was a devoted wife to her high school sweetheart, Bill Chilton (Chic), who she married on Nov. 6, 1954. She was a loving mother of three and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her seven grandchildren. Betty was a kind, loving and strong woman. She was always full of life and concern for others. Working for 19 years as an administrative assistant at Texler Industries in Solon, Ohio, she was also a dedicated worker. In their leisure time, Betty and her husband Bill enjoyed traveling with family and friends to different cities across the country, from Myrtle Beach to Disney World to various state parks. She was an avid golfer and bingo player, and she frequently hosted card clubs with her friends. She loved dancing, reading and poetry. She enjoyed doing puzzles so much that she would hang her favorites throughout her home or give them away as gifts. Betty will be remembered for countless reasons, but it is her sense of humor with huge belly laughs and her unconditional love for her family that will be missed the most.
Survivors are her husband Bill Chilton; Children: Colleen Baldyga (Rich), Vicki Kirk (James), and Bill Chilton (Kristen); Grandchildren: Danny Baldgya, Shannon Colarossi, Ashley Baldgya, Sean Colarossi, Cameron Kirk, Aidan Chilton and Elyse Chilton; her sister Carol Skovensky (Len) and brothers Don (Jean), Bob (Lori), and Rick (Jane). She was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Ray Thompson and her sister Doris Jean Tinkham (George).
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Harbor Light Hospice 677-H Alpha Drive Highland Heights, Ohio 44143.
