BETTY JANE PALMER SOMERVILLE, of Aurora, died peacefully September 15, 2010 in her daughters home, surrounded by her family. Born October 7, 1931 in Cleveland to the late Walter and Ellen (Woodland) Palmer. The family later moved to Twinsburg where Betty graduated high school. She married Glenn Somerville in 1952. She attended CCC East and graduated Magna Cum Laude with an associate degree of Applied Business in Accounting. She worked for Ohio Bell, Revco main office building and Anna Marie Nursing Home. Betty was a member of the United Methodist Church of Aurora. Memories of Betty will be carried on by her husband of 58 years, Glenn, and her loving family. Her Children Ellen Minch of Hudson,Glenn Sommerville Jr. of Salineville, Gretchen Gould of California (deceased), John "Jack" Somerville of Aurora (deceased), Amelia Diczhazy of Shalersville and Alice "Aly" Ledman of Chardon. Her grandchildren Morgan Minch, John Somerville, Marshall Somerville, Rebecca Somerville, Elizabeth Gould, James Gould, David Diczhazy, Walter Diezhazy and Carolyn Diczhazy. Great grand-daughter Sierra Gould. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brother James Palmer also of Aurora. When difficulties occurred following her second knee replacement, Betty was cared for by her daughter Amelia and the wonderful Cleveland Clinic Hospice team for four years. Betty was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed traveling with her children and grandchildren, operas, sewing and knitting. Her favorite color was light blue and her favorite flowers were daisies. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Audubon Society of Greater Cleveland, 6505 Wilson Mills Road, Cleveland, OH 44143.
