Carol A. Jeff, 82, of Bedford, Ohio, passed away, Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood.

She was born May 12, 1939, in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Freddie and Mary Hayes Stokes.

Carol attended school in Louisville, and moved to Cleveland in the 1960's.

Carol accepted Christ at an early age and was a long-standing member and usher at Triedstone Baptist Church in Cleveland, along with her late husband, Samuel Jeff Jr., whom she united with in 1970.

Carol was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Carol worked for many years in the health care industry, finally retiring from Brentwood Hospital.

Carol was a great-great grandmother.  She loved being surrounded by her family and was always there to lend a helping hand throughout the generations.  She will be greatly missed by those that loved and depended on her.

She leaves to cherish her memory, four sons:  Michael (Elaine) Stokes, Sr. of Euclid, Richard Stokes and Davis Stokes both of Cleveland, and by Gerald Stokes of Lyndhurst; seven grandchildren:  Innis Lee, Tisha McKenzie, Michael Stokes Jr., Sean Brandon Stokes, Gerald Stokes, Jr., Ciara Stokes, and Tiny Stokes; a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  Carol also leaves to mourn her nieces Kimberly, Yolanda, Neisy, and Chandra Stokes, and her dear sister-in-law, Mary Jeff.

Besides her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Jeff, Jr., her granddaughter Lucretia Stokes; her two brothers Sonny and Jerry Stokes; her nephew Jerry Stokes, Jr., and by her very best friend Dixie Harris.

A time of gathering and remembrance will take place on Friday, April 22, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service in the Hine Funeral Home, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg.

A Memorial Service will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2022, in the funeral home.  Entombment will immediately follow in Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg.
