Catherine "Kay" Winters (nee Higgens), age 74, of Solon, Ohio, passed away December 29,
2016. Dearly beloved wife of Walter; Cherished mother of Christine Winters; loving aunt to many
nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Catherine earned an Associates degrees in Fashion Merchandising from Gateway Technical
Institute in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and an Associates degree in Marketing from Cuyahoga
Community College in Cleveland, Ohio. Catherine worked at the Admissions Office of Cuyahoga
Community College Eastern branch for 17 years. Catherine was an exceptionally talented artist,
and enjoyed working with watercolor and sketch. She loved music, and often sang and played
her guitar. Catherine and Walter travelled extensively, including visits to Italy, France, and
Germany. Catherine and Walter also enjoyed cruises to Alaska, the Caribbean and South
America. They also traveled throughout the United States and visited Yosemite National Park,
the Grand Tetons, the Grand Canyon, Sonoma and Napa Valley, Mount Rushmore, Devil''s
Tower, Mackinac Island, Kennebunkport, the East Coast and of course the many family
vacations to Florida and Wisconsin.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to extend special thanks to
the Alzheimer''s Association and the Hospice of the Western Reserve for their caring support. In
lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer''s Association, 23215 Commerce
