Charles (Chuck) Hassink, 87, of Aurora, entered into rest November 4, 2014. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Mann); father of Deborah (Edward) Thoden, Gary (Kelly) and Beth Ann Hassink; loving step-father to William Curley, Kathleen (Bryan) Johanson, Michael Curley, Lauren (Phillip) France, Joanne (Thomas) Saxer and Kristen (James) Kopczak; grandfather of 20 and great grandfather of 3. Preceded in death by his parents Albert and Edith Hassink. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in Okinawa, Japan aboard the USS LST-814 Family will receive friends SUNDAY NOVEMBER 9, 2014 FROM 4PM TILL 8PM AT THE BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 8592 DARROW RD., TWINSBURG, OH (ONE HALF MILE S. OF I-480 RT. 91 exit). Funeral services will be held on November 10, 2014 at 11AM at Parkside Church, 7100 Pettibone Road, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023.
