Obituary

Charlotte Audrey Dular

nee Munkres

March 22, 1944– May 6, 2026

Born to John and Alice Munkres (nee Honigman) in East Cleveland, OH, during a spring blizzard, Charlotte was the middle of three children. She was proud of the peach tree she grew as a child, enjoyed arts and crafts, and played high school basketball despite her height. She graduated from Shaw High School in East Cleveland and went on to get her teaching degree from Fenn College. Charlotte taught second grade at East Cleveland schools, both before and after her marriage to Timothy Dular in 1970, leaving teaching only after her second child was born in 1974. She then stayed home raising her children and was an active room mother and volunteer. Charlotte worked several jobs once her children were both in school including bowling alley snack bar waitress and cook, daycare worker, nursing home kitchen staff, and, finally, bridal seamstress. She was a gifted seamstress and knew how to make a gown fit anyone well. Charlotte retired from the bridal shop once blessed with granddaughters, but still helped many family members and friends with alterations and special occasion attire. Active in her local church, Faith Baptist Church of Streetsboro, Charlotte loved to create special outfits and sweaters for the people she loved, often designing her own patterns to make each piece extra special.

Preceded in death by her parents, John and Alice Munkres, sister Diana Munkres, in-laws, Edmund and Joan Dular, stepmother Rissa Munkres, and sister-in-law Cindy Finan, Charlotte is survived by her husband Timothy Dular, daughter Cheryl Lynne (Steve) Adams, son Patrick Dular, granddaughters Corri and Ellie, brother J. Brian (Karen) Munkres, and many other extended family and friends.

Services will be at Faith Baptist Church, 9890 SR 43, Streetsboro, OH 44241, on Monday, May 11. Loved ones may call starting at 11 AM with the funeral service at 12:30 PM. The church will provide a luncheon immediately following the funeral. Burial will take place at 10 AM, Tuesday, May 12, at Crown Hill Cemetery, 8592 Darrow Rd, Twinsburg, OH 44087.

Charlotte’s family is asking that if you received an item that Charlotte created or had her alter your special event attire to bless them with a photo of you in that treasure. Please bring a printed copy with you to the church or send digitally to Cheryl. Thank you.
