CHRISTINE H PHILLIPS

Christine Helen Phillips, 76, of Twinsburg, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2023.  Christine was born on September 24, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio; daughter of Andrew and Jean (Passafiume) Andrews.

Christine graduated from Cuyahoga Community College, earning an Associates Degree and worked as a Site Acquisition Specialist for the telecommunication industry  with Jacobs Engineering.  Her position allowed her to dive deep into details, something she enjoyed a lot and a quality that her employer deeply appreciated.

Christine was musically inclined and enjoyed using her time and talents with her gift. This gift was evidenced during her teen years when she was given piano lessons and gave her lifelong pleasure.  Christine and her husband, Harold, were members of the community theatre and joyfully shared bluegrass jam sessions in their home as well.

Christine was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Cleveland Heights, Ohio where she was a member of the church choir. This gave her great joy and she made lifelong friends there.  She felt a strong sense of community in the church and the choir.
Christine loved her family and her heritage.  One of her favorite treats was a journey to Patras, Greece, the birthplace of her father, with her family.

Christine will be deeply missed by her grandchildren; Frank (Mary Lou) Dufour and Kyle (Amanda) Whitney; her great-grandchildren; Talia, Tessa and Maren Dufour, and Dalia and Hugie Whitney; her brother James (Jean) Andrews; her niece, Ellie (Chris) Chen; and her nephew, Peter Andrews.

Beside her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Harold and her daughter, Holly.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church,  3352 Mayfield Rd, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118.  A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm led by Fr. Stephen Callos followed by procession and committal at Crown Hill Cemetery, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio  44087.

The family will return to The Cheesecake Factory in Legacy Village,  25265 Cedar Road, Lyndhurst, Ohio 44124 for food and fellowship following committal. Those who do not wish to attend the cemetery service are welcome to wait at the The Cheesecake Factory in Legacy Village.
