David Alan Saunders, 72, of Bedford, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 20, 2024 Cleveland, OH . He was born in Exeter, NH on April 19, 1952 to the late Clifford and Katherine Saunders (nee Nunn).

David "Dave" will be dearly missed by his family. Loving father of Christopher (Crystal) Saunders, John Moffett, and Michele Jensen; cherished grandfather "Papa" of Alyssa Saunders, Garet Saunders, Tanner, Viviannah, Ciera, Cian, and many others he adopted as his own; dear brother of Scott Saunders, Jeff Saunders, and Christine (John) Rogers, James Saunders; and a host of extended family and dear friends.

He was a Retired Navy Man with 20+ years who loved to talk about his time in. From the Carl Vinson, Enterprise, to his military police work from his time in Hawaii to Thailand, Japan, and Germany; there was never a boring story.

Dave loved Hope United Methodist Church and his church family. He was an avid member for over 30yrs. He did many things within the church from Youth group to teaching Bells, to movie nights, ushering to acolyctine.

Papa loved ANY movies, spoiling his grandkids, a delicious meal. Any new technology even if he only used it once. A good dad joke or a bad one.

David's memorial service will be held at Hope United Methodist Church 79 Center Rd Bedford, OH 44146 on May 4,2024 @ 3pm

*All are welcome to come who knew or loved Dave, so come mourn with us. The ladies of his church have offered light refreshments in the basement after the service while we mingle and share stories of his beautiful life.
