David F. Sounik, 68, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 22, 2024. He was born on January 26, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Louis and Rose (Novak) Sounik. David was a chemist who worked on research and development. He was a history buff who enjoyed collecting coins, documents, and antiques. David cherished the beautiful world around him, photographing his adventures traveling and hiking or using his telescope to gaze upon the stars. Along his travels, David would observe geological features and hunt for fossils. He was devoted to his family, treasuring his time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Ofelia (Ramirez) Sounik; children, Diane Sounik (Boyfriend Austin Bossolt), Monica Sounik, and Daniel Sounik; father, Louis Sounik; brothers, Donald (Terri) Sounik and James (Lori) Sounik; and many loving nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his mother, Rose.

Friends may join the family for a memorial visitation on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 11 AM – 1 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, OH 44087. A Celebration of his Life will immediately follow at 1 PM at the funeral home. His graveside service will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg, Ohio.
