Donald Edward Golga 76, of Twinsburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026. He was born on December 28, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late George Sr. and Florence Golga (nee Ottowski). Don was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, George Golga, Jr.

Donnie will be dearly missed by his family. Dear brother of Ruth (Mark) Schaefer; Brother-in-law of Gail Golga; loving uncle of Kirstin Golga, George Golga III, Matthew (Erika) Golga, Maureen Golga, Nicholas (Meredith) Schaefer, Amanda (Jason) Bauer, and Brianne (T) Terry; cherished great uncle of Allison, Archie, Avery, Austin, Camden, Brynlee, Jayce, Bryce, and Meadow; and a host of extended family and dear friends.

Affectionately known as “Donnie Ballgame,” Don was a lifelong sports enthusiast whose passion for the game was matched only by his love for his family. One of his proudest accomplishments was being inducted into the Greater Cleveland Slow Pitch Hall of Fame in 2008, a recognition that meant so much to him.Don had a deep love for dogs throughout his life and, more recently, was a proud cat dad to Dunkin and Payne, who brought him so much joy.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Crown Hill Funeral Home. 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087
