Doris Jean Hayes, 89, of Twinsburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on December 26, 2023. She was born on February 4, 1934 in Clendenin, West Virginia to Joseph and Mable Palmer (nee Canterbury). Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Melvin Hayes, Sr.; her daughter, Sue; her brothers, Bob, Bill, Dennis (Jim), and Donald; and her grandson, Jeremy.

Doris will be deeply missed by her family. Loving and proud mother of Melvin (Michelle) Hayes, Jr., Steve (Joyce) Hayes, Doug Hayes, Ronald (Anna) Hayes, and Gary Hayes; Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and dear friends.

Doris loved gardening and travelling when she could, but most of all she loved her family.

Visitation and funeral ceremony will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087. Visitation from 10am – 12pm. Service at 12 pm.
