Edward (Ed) William Baker, 85, of Stow, Ohio passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026. He was born on May 9, 1940, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania to the late Lawrence and Blanche Baker (nee Zajdel). Ed was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Helen Crytzer; and his great-grandson, Trenton Ward.

Ed was a machinist for many years and retired from GED Integrated Solutions. He will be remembered for his love of trains, model airplanes and classic cars.

Ed will be dearly missed by his family. Beloved husband of 63 years to Sandra J. Baker (nee Beech); loving father of Sue (Jeff) Thomas, Debbie (Kevin) Herring, and Jeffrey (Deborah) Baker; cherished grandfather of Joseph Thomas, Eric (Alissa) Fawcett, Alexa (Josiah) Alvis, Courtney (Bartholomew) Herring-Kitko, Ryan (Abby) Herring, Amanda Herring, Lindsey Baker, and Alec Baker; 7 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and dear friends.

A private service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Crown Hill Cemetery, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio.
