Edward B Roppel

Edward B Roppel, age 95, of Maple Heights, passed away peacefully December 22, 2020. Beloved

husband of 65 years to the late Marie (nee Lucky). Dear father of Darlene Yagersz, Joyce Farrington,

Alan (Brenda) and Randall (Gina) Roppel. Loving grandfather of eleven and great grandfather of six.

Preceded in death by his loving parents, Edward and Emily Roppel; his daugther, Barbara; his grandson, Randall Roppel Jr.; his son in law, John Yagersz and his brother, Lawrence (Dorothy) Roppel.

Uncle and cousin to many with many fun memories.

Edward served his country in the Navy from 1943 to 1946. He was awarded four ribbons for his services in the Pacific aboard the USS Willmarth (DE 638).

He retired in 1990 after co-owning Commercial Gas Maintenance for over 35 years.

Edward was very active member in Solon VFW Post 1863, Military Order of Cooties, Amercian Legion #0309 and the F.O.E. #2122. He held many positions through the years and will be missed by many. He enjoyed life, golf, children and all people. It was always fun to be with him.

Private services will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Hine Funeral Home and Crown Hill Cemetery.
