Eleanor B. Guy, 82, of Willoughby, OH and a former resident of Ada, OH and
Lakewood, OH died on May 29, 2013 after an extended illness. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on
September 6, 1930, Eleanor was the daughter of the late Lloyd Charles and the late Verda
Eleanor (Hooper) Bryenton, and the wife for 50 years of Daniel S. Guy, who survives. In
addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Stanley L. Guy of Cleveland; a daughter,
Sharon E. Sealing, son-in-law, C. Scott Sealing, and two grandchildren Andrew & Julia, all of
Clifton Park, NY. A 1953 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, Eleanor worked as a YWCA Program and Center Director for several years. She married Daniel in 1962, and they raised their family in Ada. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was a freelance writer and
photographer during her years in Ada. She was active in AAUW, PEO, and Twice Ten. She
also loved to travel and was very active in her church. Eleanor was a member of Who's Who in
America. The family will receive friends SATURDAY JUNE 1, 2013 FROM 12:00P.M. UNTIL TIME OF FUNERAL SERVICES AT 1:00P.M. AT THE BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 8592 DARROW RD. (0NE HALF MILE S. OF I-480 RT. 91 EXIT). Interment Crown Hill Cemetery.
