Emaunel Kubasta, 84 years old, passed away quietly on March 8, 2011 at his home in Bonita Springs, FL following an extended illness. A long time resident of Pepper Pike, OH, he was born on December 24, 1926 in Cleveland, OH and was the only son of Emanuel and Mary Kubasta. He was the beloved and devoted husband of Anne J. Kubasta (nee Luzar) and they had celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this past June. Emanuel served as a United States Marine during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. He attended and graduated from Hays Technical School and had a long career as a carpenter in Cleveland, OH for companies including Metzger and Wells and Gleason Construction Co. His Unparalleled craftsmanship is recognized in the finish carpentry that adorns many private residences throughout Cleveland''s eastern suburbs. In 1985,87 and 88 his achievements were recognized by the Builders Exchange Craftsmanship Award in the finished interiors of projects in the Place Theatre, North Point Law Office Building and the floating spiral staircase in the Alumni house at Ohio Wesleyan University. As an avid car enthusiast, he belonged to the Cleveland Model A Car Club and enjoyed restoring and driving his 1931 Roadster. He is survived by his loving wife, Anne Kubasta, beloved daughter, Bonnie Kubasta and cherished grandson Ethan Conlon of Savannah, GA. Also surviving are his sister Mildred Rinas, of Felton, PA, his nephew William Rinas (wife Gail), of Felton, PA and niece Margaret Golem of Indianapolis, IN.
