Eric Elmer Tussel, 84, of Hudson, Ohio passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024. He was born in his grandmother's house in Bedford, Ohio on May 12, 1940, to the late Raymond and Ida Tussel (nee Schuler). Eric was preceded in death by his son, Eric P. Tussel; his brother, Reynold Tussel; his sister in law, Darlene Schmitz; and his son-in-law, Joseph Wesley.

Beloved husband of Kathleen Tussel (nee Schmitz). Kathleen and Eric were happily married for 61 loving years. Loving father of Kimberly Wesley and Kurt Tussel; cherished grandfather of Eric Allen Tussel, Brandy Beech (Matt), Joseph Wesley (fiancé, Kristin), Jonathan Wesley, Jason Wesley, Michelle Licata (Frank), and Kaitlyn Tussel; great-grandfather of Miles; dear brother of Raymond Tussel (Carol) and Judy Bellar; and a friend to many.

Eric graduated from Bedford High School in 1958. He then served his country honorably in the 102nd Calvary Regiment of the National Guard. He was a gentle soul who enjoyed cars, music and bird watching. He loved watching baseball, especially his beloved Cleveland Indians. You always knew he was right aroung the corner, hearing the skip in his step and his joyous humming. He loved being with his family and friends and always made every event memorable. He will forever remain in our hearts for all his loving support and patience. His legacy will live on in all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087. Viewing from 12 – 1 pm. Service at 1 pm. Interment at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PBS at PBS.org.
