Obituary

Eva M. Watts, 84, of Maple Heights, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022, at 6:17 a.m. at Gardens at Liberty Park in Streetsboro.

Eva, the eldest daughter of Deacon Roosevelt and Mamie Allen, was born on December 24, 1937, in Alcoa, Tennessee. In 1950, the family relocated to Cleveland, Ohio where she matriculated from East High School.

At an early age, Eva was baptized, and she remained faithful to the pastor's vision and mission. She was a devoted member of Second Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Cleveland where she enjoyed singing in the choir and serving in social action ministries. In 1981, she became a devoted member of Order of The Eastern Star in Mt. Olive – Chapter #23.  Eva retired early from the Cleveland Clinic Foundation where she worked as a surgical technician to care for her ailing husband of 54 years. She loved reading the bible daily, sewing/crocheting, shopping, and traveling.

Eva is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Theodore "Teddy" Watts; her loving parents, Deacon Roosevelt, and Mamie Allen, and her three wonderful siblings:  Benjamin Allen (Fredier), Georgia R. Allen, and Catie M. Brooks.

She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Crown Hill Funeral Home, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087. Entombment will take place in Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg.
