Gayle Ilene Malkus, 77, of Concord, Ohio passed away peacefully on November 23, 2023. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 7, 1946 to the late Carl and Evelyn Nehring (nee Burke). Gayle is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband, Brian "Butch" Malkus. They celebrated their 55th wedding Anniversary in June. Gayle's family meant the world to her. She took great pride in her dear sisters; Susan Martin (Jim) , Leanne Jevnikar, kids; Todd Malkus (Amber), Aimee May (Geoff), grandchild; Kendall Malkus, nephews; John Jevnikar (Allison), Jeff Jevnikar, Keith Martin (Tracy), Tim Martin (Jane) and virtually anyone that made her family happy. She welcomed friends into her home and treated them as family. She (Aunt Gorga) was the life of the party and always up for practical jokes and pranks. She loved to laugh and shared her light hearted sense of humor with all that encountered her. She left a lasting impression of fun, love and laughter with all that crossed her path. Gayle embraced a Carpe Diem approach to life. Her employment history was no different. It started with Ohio Bell in Downtown Cleveland and ended with 51 other jobs over the years. If Gayle wasn't happy, she didn't see the sense in staying put. She was always open to trying new things from yoga to watercolor class, was an avid reader and found great satisfaction in her Lutheran faith. She loved the beach and the healing energy of being outdoors in the sun, especially with family. Her "hobbies" included shopping, shopping for hair and beauty products, shopping for hair and beauty products to acquire free make-up bags, tap dancing and vacuuming. She always repped a clean house and made sure her cats received the utmost care and attention. Gayle was in deep with cooking shows but seldom cooked herself. It was probably for the better. We'll sincerely miss her witty comebacks, her funny faces, her gracious heart and genuine embraces. A service for immediate family has been scheduled. A celebration of life gathering will be arranged in the future.
