It is with a mixture of sadness and gratitude for her long and fulfilling life that we announce the peaceful passing of Gladys Dozanti on September 13, 2026. Gladys was born on July 1, 1925, in Newport, Ohio, to the late Gale and Ora Westbrook. She was blessed with 101 years filled with love, family, and cherished memories.Throughout her life, Gladys was a beacon of resilience and grace. She began her journey with her first husband, Mike Martin, with whom she shared the early years of her family life. After Mike's tragic passing, Gladys was fortunate to find love again with Weder Dozanti, with whom she spent 35 wonderful years.Gladys dedicated much of her professional life to Kennametal, where she worked diligently in the office until her retirement in 1990. Her colleagues remember her as a dedicated and hardworking individual who always had a kind word and a warm smile.Family was the cornerstone of Gladys's life. She was predeceased by her beloved daughters, Linda Rutter (Clarence) and Charlotte Bowser (Walter), whom she carried in her heart every day. Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren, Brett Crane (Stacie) and Michele Dalrymple (Robby) , and her adored great-grandchildren, Taylor Crane and Jillian Crane. Gladys's love for her family was boundless, and her home was always filled with laughter and warmth.Gladys's life was a testament to the simple joys of family and home. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she dedicated herself to creating a nurturing and loving environment for them. Her presence at family gatherings will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.In honor of Gladys's memory, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice. This gesture will honor her generous spirit and her lifelong commitment to helping others.Gladys Dozanti's life was a remarkable journey of love, resilience, and faith. As we say goodbye, we celebrate the extraordinary life she led and the profound impact she had on all who knew her.
