Glenn Swanson, 74, of Aurora, Ohio passed away peacefully on November 16, 2023. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 5, 1949, to the late Arthur and Mildred Swanson (nee Johnson).

Glenn loved "Big Band" music, listening to audio tapes, animals (pets), collecting key chains, matchbooks, magnets, and Indians memorabilia. His greatest passion, however, was any/all things regarding his daughter, Libby. He was happiest when traveling to Disney World, sponsoring/coaching her softball teams, or watching her play sports in school.

Glenn wanted to be an Air Force Pilot or a Geologist; instead, he was a great General Contractor/Custom Home Builder. Glenn achieved much success through his association with the Portage County Home Builders Association, his four companies and his own land/home site development in Shalersville Township, Centennial Homes.

Glenn will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 38 years, Linda Barlow-Swanson; loving father of Elizabeth Swanson (fiancé, Ryan Lilly); cherished grandfather of Trent William Swanson-Lilly; dear brother of Bonnie (John) Serpa and Ron Swanson; and a host of extended family and dear friends.

Glenn will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg, Ohio, with a Memorial Service, to celebrate his life, prior to Internment at 11 AM on Saturday, January 6, 2024.

Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Portage County Animal Protective League in Ravenna, Ohio, as Glenn would have desired.
