Gorman H. "Sammy" Sullivan, 83, of Streetsboro passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020 at his home in Blackshear, Georgia after a long, courageous battle with stomach cancer.  He was born November 22, 1936 in Tennessee and moved to Ohio in 1952 where he maintained a residence for the remainder of his life.  Before founding Sammy's Food Mart, currently Sammy's Beverage Center, in 1979, Sam worked as a general foreman for Walker China, owned a diner, and later an Open Pantry convenience store.  Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Wanda R. Sullivan; their child, Samantha Kovach and her husband Kevin of Streetsboro; and three adult grandchildren; Amber, Mason, and Duncan Kovach.  Per the deceased's wishes, the family will be holding a private memorial service.
