Grace Rickard, 98, of Brunswick, passed away on December 26 ^th , 2022. Grace was born July 12, 1924, in Cleveland, Ohio, to William and Clara (Pickersgill) Whelsky. She was an avid fan of Cleveland baseball and deeply loved animals, children, sweets, and word search games. Her last several years were spent at Willowood Care Center, in Brunswick. She was affectionately known as "Pink Grandma" to family and friends alike.

Grace is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ken, as well as sons David and Kenneth, grandson Rob Rickard, and her sisters Marge (Richard), Lois (Bill), and Jean (Leo). She is survived by her daughter Lorraine (Frank) Ratka, grandchildren Anita (Rodney), Beth, Heather (Jeff), Sarah (Kevin), Megan (Corey), and Nicole, sixteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. In similar fashion, countless generations of birds in Summit County were raised entirely on bread provided by her and her ever-patient husband.

Visitation will be December 30 ^th , from 1­—2pm at Crown Hill Cemetery, in Twinsburg, OH. A brief service will follow. Plans for interment will be announced closer to spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude children's research hospitals, or to a local chapter of the SPCA. Or, at least, be kind to your web-footed friends, for a duck may be somebody's brother.
