Harry W. Lilley of Aurora, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home on March 31, 2020. He was born on March 14, 1933 to Earl and Evalena Lilley in Cameron, West Virginia where he grew up on a dairy farm. On January 6, 1951 he married Elnor (Foster) Lilley in West Virginia, and they later moved to Ohio.
Harry worked for Conrail for 38 years and retired in 1994. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, gathering mushrooms, and spending time on the family property in West Virginia. Harry said he was a "hillbilly" and was proud of it.
He is survived by his lovely wife of 69 years, Elnor (Foster) Lilley; three children, Karen Altabas (Steve) of Twinsburg, David Lilley (Susan) of Mantua, and Ronald Lilley (Tracy) of Mantua; six grandchildren, Ronald Lilley Jr. of Mantua, Megan (Altabas) Schaeffer (Jared) of Davenport, FL, David Lilley Jr. of Mantua, Bryan Lilley of Kent, Clay and Cody Lilley; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Harry Lilley, Benjamin Schaeffer, and Lily Schaeffer. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Jane Thomas, and brother, Russell (Shirley) Lilley, many nieces, nephews and friends that were like family.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, James Lilley, Virgil (Bud) Lilley, and Carl Lilley.
Due to Covid-19, a private service and burial were held on April 3, 2020 at Hine Funeral Home at Crown Hill.
