Henry Martin Shable, 73, of Aurora, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 19, 2025. He was born on November 30, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Anthony and Helen Shable (nee Davis). Henry was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Kathleen Borgoy; and his brother, Tony Shable.

Henry was happily married to his beloved wife Karen Shable (nee Pearson) for 52 years, and was the loving father of Kim Oja. He dearly loved his two grandchildren, Adelaide and Rose Oja, although he joked before they were born that they would have to call him "Mr. Shable." He was a wonderful brother to his sister, Emily Danicki, and was a caring and devoted brother-in-law to Keith Pearson and Kathy Lewis. He will be deeply missed by his entire family, and by a host of friends around the country.

Throughout his life, Henry got to spend a great deal of time in some of his favorite places, taking his family to Geauga Lake amusement park to brave the coasters and serving as The Big Kahuna on the shores of Rehoboth Beach, DE. He worked as a safety engineer for over 40 years, and his career took him around the world, from India to China. It also earned him the nickname of "Safety Man" from his friends and family.

Visitation and memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087.
