JACK LEWIS RENNER of Hudson passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2006. A lifelong resident of the Akron area, Jack was born to John Michael and Beatrice Nickson Renner in August of 1929. He grew up in Munroe Falls, attending grade school in Tallmadge, and high school at Western Reserve Academy in Hudson. He went on to earn a degree in Engineering from the University of Akron, and a Law degree from Case Western Reserve University. He then embarked on a 40 year career in Patent law with the firm of Ely, Fry, and Hamilton in Akron, ultimately retiring as the President and Senior Partner of the firm, now known as Renner, Kenner, Greive, Bobak, Taylor, & Weber. Many will remember Jack from the years he spent working at his parents swimming park in Munroe Falls, which is now a part of the Metroparks system, or from the avid pursuit of his many interests and hobbies, which over the years included fishing, flying small planes, sailing, and woodcarving. He survived polio at the age of 21, and though it changed his life, it did not diminish it - his strength as a person extended well beyond his body. Jack shared all aspects of his life with his best friend and wife, Nancy Palmer Renner, also of Akron. Together they raised two children, Julie and John, who were truly Jack''s pride and joy. Jack will be remembered for his honesty, integrity, and strong work ethic. His wife and children will miss him terribly. He was the finest husband and father anyone could wish for - an ornery attorney with a heart of gold. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
