James W. Finley, 73, of Hudson, passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2021. He was the founder of Finley and Son Builders, where he taught his family the value of a strong work ethic. Jim was a selfless, genuine, and kind man, his family's rock. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and spending time with his beloved family.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary (Palmer) Finley; children, Dave (Celisa) Finley, Amy (David) Kolarik, Anne (Justin) Gillium, and Christopher (Kristen) Finley; grandchildren, Elijah, Hannah, Jacob, Aislinn, Emerson, Ryan, Cullen, Connor, and Caleb; siblings, Maureen (Bill-deceased) Slivka, Pat (Susan) Finley, John (Mary Ann Strasavich) Finley, and Joe (Gene) Finley. Jim was preceded in death by his sons, Jimmy and Andrew; and parents Joseph Paul and Lenore (Rees) Finley.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 6-8 PM at Hine Funeral Home, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, OH 44087. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.
