James S. Hatakeyama, 83, of Twinsburg, a retired IT professional, passed away on Dec. 29, 2014. He was born in San Jose, California and grew up in the orchards of Saratoga with his father Jackson and grandfather Frank. He was relocated to Heart Mountain, Wyoming and after WWII moved to Denver where he attended the University of Colorado, Boulder. He began his career in the emerging field of radioactive pharmaceuticals and spent four years managing a production facility in Rio de Janiero. He enjoyed serving as an adult leader in the Boy Scouts while his sons grew up and he lived by the Scout Oath. He is survived by his wife Frances; sons Kyle and Jason; sisters Doris Rhodes, Yoshiko Saito and Janet Yamakawa; and three grandchildren. Private services were held.
