James "Frank" Haynes
Frank Haynes of Macedonia, Ohio passed away surrounded by family on May 3, 2019. He was married to Mazell (née Norris) who preceded him in death. He was a loving father to Albert (deceased)(Betty); Rosemary (Leonard) Thompson; Carolyn (Jimmy) Helton; Frankie (Peggy, both deceased); Marcia (John) Herrage; and Marc. He had 25 grandchildren including Kelly (Eric) Roszak; Vincent and Laura along with 19 great-grandchildren including Emily, Eric Jr., Alivia and Alexa. He was a loving uncle and friend to many. He was born in Pineville, Kentucky on September 9, 1930 to Albert and Rosa Haynes (deceased). He was the middle child, to older sister Juanita (Van, deceased) and a younger brother Howard (deceased). He spent his early years in the mountains of Kentucky and eventually working in the coal mines. From there he found himself up in Detroit Michigan where he met and married Mazell. They moved to Cleveland where he became the owner and operator of Gulf Gas Station. He was also with Machine Improvement and Chrysler along the years till he retired. Frank and Mazell built a beautiful home in Twinsburg that they called home till moving to Macedonia to their ranch. Frank and Mazell spent 60 years together, they are truly what it means to be with someone through thick and thin. During the 1960s you could find him racing at Thompson where he won several trophies. You could always find Frank out on the boat with a fishing pole enjoying the waves. He loved watch sports including baseball, basketball, football, and he could also be found watching Nascar races. He was always surrounded by friends and family that will miss him dearly.
