James F. McCauley, age 77, of Solon passed away suddenly on March 7, 2021.  Beloved husband of 57 years to Patricia Ann (nee Biermann); dear father of Kristine (James) Bielawski; loving grandpa of Lauren, Jacob, Kaitlyn, Hannah, Colin, Jenna, and Hayley.  He was a friend and cousin to many.  James was preceded in death by his son Robert McCauley and his mother, Melba Finke.  James was an Air Force Veteran and served during the Vietnam war and served as a past Commander of the American Legion Post 234.  Mr. McCauley graduated from the University of Washington with a Master's Degree in Business Administration and had a 35 year career as Vice President of Quadax, Inc.  He was passionate about his family, church, and sports (especially baseball).  Private services were held with interment at Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg, OH.
