James Lloyd Tidwell, 86, of Richmond Heights, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025. He was born on November 2, 1938, in Jasper, Alabama to the late Dorse and Ella Tidwell (nee Luker). James was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Linda Tidwell; his grandson, Jesse; and his siblings, William, Curt, Dorothy, Polly, Fred, Jean, and Kenneth.

James will be dearly missed by his family. Beloved husband of 42 years of Mary Ann Tidwell (nee Grabowski); loving father of Cathy Crump, James E. (Loretta) Tidwell, David Tidwell, and Mark Sangin (Heidi Roth); cherished grandfather of Buddy, Rachel, Eric, Kayla, Jamie, Sara, Lucabella, and Joey; 18 great grandchildren; dear brother of Thomas (Gwenda) Tidwell and Betty (Ben) Norris; and a host of extended family and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. The funeral ceremony will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 1:00 pm, also at Crown Hill Funeral Home. Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
