Obituary

JANET B. KIRKHART (nee Bientz), age 94, of Hudson, OH entered into rest November 14, 2006, at Laurel Lake Retirement Community where she lived for 10 years. She was born in Stow, OH and lived in the Stow-Hudson area her entire life. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Lulu (nee Yaggi) Bientz. Mrs.Kirkhart and her husband Clive Kirkhart, (dec.), farmed in the Hudson area for 15 years. They were married for 40 years. Mrs. Kirkhart was a life-long member of the Western Reserve Christian Church where she sang in the choir. The church has recently acquired the former Kirkhart farm for the site of their new church. Mrs. Kirkhart was a past member of the Metz Missionary Society and the Kent State Alumni Association. She received a teaching certificate from the Kent State University cadet program in 1931 and she taught third grade at West Richfield Elementary School for 23 years. While teaching, she continued classes at Kent State graduating in 1970. Over the years, she was well-loved and remembered by many of her former students. She was an avid Cavs. and Cleve. Indian fan. Mrs. Kirkhart is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Tomsich and husband Robert of Hunting Valley; two sisters, Myra Tafarella of Alexandria, Va. and Eleanor Fike of Lovettsville, Va.; three grandchildren, Joan Heaney (John) of Orange Village, Carol Fountain (John) of Pepper Pike and John Tomsich (Michelle) of Chagrin Falls; and six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends THURSDAY, Nov. 16 FROM 6 - 8 PM AT THE BLESSING FUNERAL HOME AT CROWN HILL, 8592 DARROW RD., TWINSBURG, OH (1/2 MILE SOUTH OF I-480, RT. 91 EXIT) where Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 17 at 11:00 AM. Interment Crown Hill Cemetery.
