Janis Marie Hauenstein, 78, of Aurora, Ohio passed into eternal life on Sunday, March 1, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of the late Richard Hauenstein;  loving daughter of the late Marie (Nezbeda) and Albert Maschek; cherished sister of Michael Maschek (Yolanda), Toni Miller (the late Steve) and Debbie McCarthy (Jim).  Step mother to Robert, Doug (Terry), Diane  (Jonathan) and Dawn. Step grandmother to Alexandra, Morgan, Jackson, Jessica, Joshua, Jacob and Mia. Jan is also survived by many treasured nieces, nephews, dear friends and devoted students.  Jan was a beloved yoga teacher for over 30 years and will be remembered for her beautiful spirit, gentle soul and the light she brought into the lives of so many.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, March 13, 2026 at St. Colette Catholic Church, 330 West 130th Street, Brunswick, Ohio 44212.  The family will receive visitors from 10:00 to 11:00 in the church atrium.  Burial will be private.
