Joan N. Baynes, 85, a long-time resident of Maple Heights, passed away on April 1, 2023. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Patrick Gogates and Julia Murphy. Joan was a nurse's assistant prior to retirement. She was a natural caregiver and she loved animals.

She is survived by her children; Donald Baynes and Jeanette (Edmund) Groh; grandchildren, Angela Baynes and Jennifer (Adam) Bering; and great granddaughter, Julianna Bering.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, April 14, 2023, from 10-11 AM at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, OH 44087. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 11 AM at the funeral home. We will then immediately process to Crown Hill Cemetery for her graveside service.
