Joseph (Joe) F. Petric, 84 of West View Healthy Living, Wooster, OH, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025. He was born December 26, 1940 to the late Joseph and Mary Petric in Cleveland, Ohio. Joe was preceded in death, by his wife of 56 years, Judith (Judy) F. Petric in 2019. Together they raised their five children in Twinsburg, Ohio.

Joe began his career in 1963 as a civil engineer with Beiswenger, Hoch and Arnold in Akron, Ohio. Joe started as a Bridge Engineer and as the company progressed in name he went from a Bridge Engineer, to a Structural Department Head, to a Senior Project Manager and then to Vice President with the company that eventually became URS Consultants which was a world wide engineering firm. He worked at URS Consultants until his retirement in 2006.

After having various problems with a stroke in late 2023, Joe moved to West View Healthy Living in Wooster, Ohio for therapy and recovery.

Joe is survived by his children Jeffrey (Jennifer), James (Eileen), Jeanette (Christopher), Joanne (Scott) and Jennifer (Alexis); brother Jerry (Rita); sister Mickey (Musood); sister-in-law Joanne Milavec; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Monday, March 17, 2025 from 4p.m. to 7p.m. at Crown Hill Funeral Home 8592 Darrow Rd (½ mile S of I-480, Rt 91 exit). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at S.S. Cosmas and Damian Parish, 10419 Ravenna Rd Twinsburg, Ohio 44087, with Fr. Paul Rosing officiating. Family and friends, please meet at church. Interment to follow Mass at Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Joe's name be made to Ohio Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691 for the wonderful care they provided him during his need or to West View Healthy Living 1715 Mechanicsburg Rd, Wooster, OH 44691 where Joe stayed and had therapy to recover after his stroke.
