Obituary
Joseph B. Surratt, age 85, passed away July 4, 2016.
Born in Wytheville, VA. Jan. 5, 1931, Joseph served in the US Army during the Korean War before making his home in Kent, OH where he retired from Ohio Edison.
Joseph enjoyed wood working and as everyone can attest, was an excellent baker.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara, his parents, a brother and a sister.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife Beverly, daughters Pamela(Jim) Miller of San Angelo, TX, Marcia Knapp of Port Edwards, WI, Julie (Mike) Carey of Streetsboro, OH, sons Alan Surratt of Seattle, WA, Scott Surratt of Canton, OH, grandchildren Regan and Chase Knapp of Greenville, WI, Catie, Faith, Mack, Hank, Harli and Luci Carey of Streetsboro, OH; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Burial will take place July 6 at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Diabetes Association are preferred.
