Joyce Leone Brown (nee Fussner), 85, passed away in Kent, Ohio on September 21, 2024. Joyce was the beloved wife of the late Douglas D. Brown for 63 years. She was the devoted mother of the late Douglas Alan Brown (Michelle); loving Nana of Lauren Boggs (Dr. Adam) of Delaware, Ohio and Haley Brown (Gabe Ricci) of Oakwood Village, Ohio; dear sister of Nancy Bliss (Kenneth) of Vermillion and William E. Fussner (Adele) of Kent.

Joyce was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 16, 1938, to the late William and Betty Fussner (nee Krimmel). She grew up in Streetsboro and graduated from Aurora High School. Joyce worked at White Motor Company as a secretary and there she met her future husband, Doug. They married on November 28, 1959, and made their home in Mentor. Joyce and Doug were blessed when their son Doug was born in 1963. Joyce's goal in life was to be a good wife and mother; and she succeeded at both. She was later thrilled to have two granddaughters that she adored. Joyce worked as a head cashier at Uncle Bill's Department Store in Mentor. Joyce and Doug enjoyed their many casino trips both locally and to Las Vegas after their retirement.

Visitation and funeral ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087. Visitation from 10 am – 11 am. Funeral service at 11 am. Interment to follow the service at 12 noon at Crown Hill Cemetery.
