Julie Lyn Strok, 55, of Twinsburg, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 27, 2024. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 10, 1969, to the late Russell "Buzz" Wilson and Florence "Lin" Wilson (nee Fulton). Julie was preceded in death by her father; her brother, Rick Wilson; and her father-in-law, Jerome Strok.
Julie will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Beloved wife of Mark Warner Strok for 31 years; Loving and adored mother of Alexandra Lindsey Strok, Caroline Elizabeth Strok, and Brendan Mark Strok; cherished daughter of Florence Wilson; treasured daughter-in-law of Linda Strok; dear sister-in-law of Chris (Kim) Strok, Jennifer (Tom) Balli, and Mary (Jeff) Skonieczny; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends.
Julie turned her love for books and children into a career, working at the Twinsburg Public Library in the Children's Department. Julie's weekly story hour was a favorite of both kids and parents. During her time at the library, Julie loved volunteering by bringing literature and activities to families and children throughout the community.
Julie loved the beach and cherished her summer family vacations. Julie loved floating in the ocean with family and friends, walking up and down the shore looking for seashells, reading a book under the umbrella, and sitting by the water with Mark, putting their toes in the sand and taking in the beautiful view of the ocean together.
Julie and Mark loved to travel with their family and friends, enjoying wonderful trips from Costa Rica to Italy to Napa Valley and many more. Julie especially enjoyed trips to the family lake house on Chautauqua Lake, where the extended Strok family would gather for summer holidays. Together, the family would take boat rides, sit by the campfire, and watched multiple generations of nieces, nephews and cousins grow up by the lake.
Julie's smile brightened every room. Her warmth and kindness were felt by all who met her. Julie was an extraordinary, selfless woman who dedicated her life to helping others. She truly embodied sunshine, love, and happiness. She will be greatly missed by all. Julie always lovingly called her family, "Sweet angels from God," and now all her loved ones have Julie watching over them as their sweet angel from God.
