Karen J. Aurand, 66, passed away April7, 2023, in Akron, Ohio with her family by her side.

Karen was born on May 13, 1956 to Neal and Jean (Worthington) Beck in Garfield Heights.  She graduated R.B. Chamberlain Twinsburg High School working for Allstate Insurance Company.  She worked as an accounting specialist at Allstate for 40  years before retiring in 2013. She then began work as an account payable specialist at Hy-Tech Controls Incorporated until 2022.

Karen is preceded in death by her mother, Jean (Worthington) Beck. She is survived by her daughter, Kristin Aurand (Josh); granddog, Sammy; father Neal Beck; brother, Greg Beck (Mary); sisters, Donna Beck, Diana Beck and Janet Lutkas (Jerry); nephew, Alan Beck; neices, Kathryn Beck, and Grace Lutkus. Along with her amazing friends and church family.

Karen was an active member of Bailey Road Christian Church. She also enjoyed traveling, most commonly to Florida or on hot air balloon trips with her sister.  She greatly enjoyed the outdoors and participating in activities including hiking and camping.  When Karen was not out for an adventure, she enjoyed game nights with her children Kristin, Josh and Sammy.

Karen lived her life to the fullest and never let anything, anyone, or even cancer get her down. Friends and family are invited to share memories and prayers at Karen's Memorial Service at Bailey Road Christian Church, 3200 Bailey Road, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio  44221 on May 5, 2023 from 4:00 - 5:30 pm, followed by a service.
