Kathleen M. Fejes

May 10th, 1941 – July 18th, 2020

Kathleen Fejes was born on May 10th, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio.  She was 79.   She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years Robert Fejes.  She is survived by her three children Laurie (Tony) Frank, Michael (Amy), and Daniel (Brigid).  She was the grandmother to Sean, Ren, and Christopher Fejes.  Grandchildren Andrew and Petra Fejes preceded her in death.

Kathleen was the eldest of Francis and Ruth Raleigh's four children.  She was preceded by her brothers Frank (Jo Ann Dorsey) and Dennis (Peggy).  Her brother Kevin (Stephanie) lives in Los Angeles, CA.

Kathleen was educated as a registered nurse and received her certification from St. Vincent Charity Hospital.  She then  worked at St. Vincent Charity for a few years before becoming a full-time wife and mother.  Once her children were older, Kathleen returned to her work as an R.N. for Hattie Larlham in Mantua, OH.  She eventually left the nursing profession to start an interior decorating business with Robert.  Side-by-side they ran Appropo Draperies for 33 years.

Kathleen enjoyed playing the piano, reading, gardening, taking care of her cats, playing cards, watching sporting events of any kind, and most of all, spending time with her family, especially traveling.  She was a very caring, empathetic individual with a big heart.  Among the causes that she championed were Habitat for Humanity, Birthright of Portage County, Greenpeace, the World Wildlife Foundation, and the Humane Society.

Because of restrictions due to the pandemic, a small private service for immediate family only is planned.
