IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Laura Leigh
Hickel
October 31, 1955 – November 30, 2023
Laura Hickel, a loving mother, devoted nurse, and avid Cleveland Browns fan, passed away on November 30, at the age of 68, after a long battle with multiple medical issues. Her unyielding love for her family, unwavering dedication to her profession, and fiery support for her home football team will forever be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
Laura's passion for nursing was evident from a young age, and she pursued her dreams by earning her Bachelor of Science degree from Case Western Reserve University while working full time as a radiological technician. Her unwavering commitment to patient care led her to a fulfilling career at University Hospitals, where she dedicated over three decades of her life to helping others. Her compassionate nature and nurturing spirit left a lasting impact on the countless lives she touched during her tenure.
Outside of her profession, Laura was a devoted mother to her beloved daughter, Leanne Kubiez. Laura's love for Leanne knew no bounds, and she took immense pride in her daughter's accomplishments. Their bond was unbreakable, and their shared moments brought immeasurable joy to Laura's life.
Laura had a fierce loyalty to her beloved Cleveland Browns and was a devoted fan through thick and thin. She celebrated their victories, endured their defeats, and always stood by her team. Laura held a special place in her heart for her hometown team, and Sundays were sacred as she cheered them on with unwavering enthusiasm.
Laura will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her loving spirit, dedication to her profession, and unwavering loyalty to her family and team will forever be etched in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
