Lawrence (Larry) Dean McCormick, 87, a devoted father, husband, and grandfather passed away on September 28, 2026 in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.

Born on September 27, 1939 in Painesville, Ohio Larrry was raised by Dean and Ruth McCormick. After graduating from Kent University, he became a project engineer working to for the automotive industry in Ohio and Michigan. He married Virginia Summers, and together they raised a boy and girl (twins) in a happy home.

As a father, Larry was the steady hand that guided his children through every storm, and the one who showed up to every moment that mattered. He was a man of few words whose actions said everything.

Larry loved tinkering around the house, working on his computer, and taking care of his family. He was active in the Masonic Lodge.

He leaves behind his second wife, Nancy McCormick; daughters, Michelle McCormick Lamm (Greg), Carol McCormick, and son Michael McCormick (Jennifer); granddaughter, Gina Lamm; sister, Nancy Smith; and beloved stepchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ginger McCormick and parents Dean and Ruth McCormick.
