Lillie was born on December 11, 1939 to late Nonies and Ed Robinson in Waverly, Alabama she was given the nickname "Sweetpea" by her only sibling her late brother William Benjamin Lee Robinson. Lillie was reared in Louisville, Ky accepting Christ at an early age. Lillie enjoyed several activities as a young adult such as singing in the youth choir at her home church and participating in the high school Travel Club.
Lillie was a bright and very smart young lady at the age of 4 years old, she entered into 1st grade. Her mother played a significant role in teaching her how to read and write. When others saw how bright she was they knew she was destined for greatness. At the age of 15, she graduated from Central High School in Louisville, Ky then enrolled into Central State University. Lillie pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority "AKA" at Central State University in 1958. She was an active member of her sorority and community, anytime tickets needed to be sold for any project. Not only could she meet the request needed but she always went above the call of duty and often times would be noted for being the top seller. She was widely known for the gift of "Gab". Lillie could talk you in and out of anything that she may bring your way.
Early in her life, Lillie worked as an educator, bank teller, a brief time with the government and in the early 70's she began to move towards her true passion, which was sales. She gained the name "Road Runner" because she was always selling on the road and reaching many goals to help her family. After 20 years in sales, she returned to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) and retired. After retiring from DFAS, she never gave up her true passion, which was selling insurance products for AFLAC. It was often said, "Lillie, could sell me the kitchen sink".
Lillie was passionate about people, her desire was to be Loved and show Love and that other things in life will show up. She was the proud mother of Keith Jerome Smith, Karolyn Dawn (Smith) Moss and Charles Fredrick Davis Jr.
Lillie leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted son, Charles Fredrick Davis, Jr., son, Keith Jerome Smith and daughter, Karolyn Dawn (Smith) Moss, one daughter in law Chane Davis, one son in law Darryll Moss, seven grandchildren Rachel Rae and Trevor Smith, Charlysia (Cece) and Demetrius Davis and Daralynne, DJ and Jarel Moss. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many beloved friends. Lillie had many friends that were as close as family, Jamesetta Lewis and Bickley Lucas were like sisters she never had, she felt "Friends where better than Money" Services will be held on Saturday, April 25th, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Wayman Chapel A.M.E.
