MARISA PENNINGTON (nee TRIVOLI), age 81, of Rome, Italy entered into rest February 21, 2010. Beloved wife of the late James C. Pennington Jr.; loving mother of Jesse (Catherine) Pennington of Avon, OH and Carla (James, Captain, USMC) Pennington-Shelstad of San Diego, CA; devoted nonna of Jesse, Kayleen, Emily, Jamie and Darin. She is also survived by her sister, Elda Starc. Marisa was a wonderful homemaker and widely known by friends and family for her great cooking and hospitality. She was multilingual, multicultural and very well traveled, including being captured in Kuwait while living there and being used as a "human shield" during the First Gulf War in 1990. A memorial service will take place FRIDAY, AT 12 P.M., FEBRUARY 26TH, 2010 AT THE BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 8592 DARROW RD., TWINSBURG, OH (1/2 mile S. of 1-480 Rt. 91 exit). The family will receive friends and family on Friday, February 26TH, from 10 A.M. until the time of service. Inurnment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
