Melvin H. Honsaker, 99, of Maple Heights, Ohio passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024. He was born in German Township, Pennsylvania on January 19, 1925, to the late Solomon and Zetta Honsaker (nee Townsend). Melvin was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Judy Davis; and his sister, Rebecca Barclay.

Melvin will be dearly missed by his family. Beloved husband of 74 years of Parsilla Honsaker (nee Inks); loving father of Tricia Honsaker and Timothy Honsaker; loving father-in-law of Marty Davis; cherished grandfather of Casey (Rachel) Davis, Aaron (Lisa) Davis, Corey Honsaker, Tyler (Ashley) Honsaker, Logan Honsaker, Aidan Honsaker and Eoin Honsaker ; great-grandfather of Aubery, Katie, Kyle, Colton, Kristiana, and Mason; dear brother of Gerald Honsaker, Shirley Ralston, and Carol Fiel; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
Melvin enjoyed many hobbies through the years, stamp and coin collecting, hunting, wood-working, reloading and gardening. He was a longtime active member of Friendship Church and spent many relaxing days basking in the sun while mowing at the Friendship Church Retreat property. Every year he looked forward to camping at Coudersport, Pennsylvania. So many meticulous projects that needed to be "done the right way".

Visitation and funeral service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087. Visitation and fellowship from 12-1 pm. Service at 1pm with internment to follow.
