MICHAEL JON SHERMAN, age 59, of Broadview Heights, entered in rest on Saturday November 11, 2006 at Grace Hospital in Lakewood ,OH following a year of health problems and complications. Formerly of N. Royalton, he retired from Cuyahoga County Engineers following 30 years of service. He was an avid cartoonist and president of Cartoon Fantasy Organization for 15 years. He is most remembered for his love of children and excellent sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Thorpe and brother, John Sherman. He is survived by his father Don Sherman, stepfather Stanley Thorpe, and brother Jim Sherman, sister-in-law Cindy Sherman, sister Sally Ledbetter, brother-in-law Mart Ledbetter, and sister Donna Ruhland. He is the beloved uncle to his five nieces; Heather and Lindsay Sherman, Jacqui and Sarah Carner, and Brenda Ruhland. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to Mike''s friends Matt and Michelle Kmit, and Dave Thorne for their endless hours of help and support over the last year. He will be cremated according to his wishes. There will be no visitation. Private family service will be held at a later date.
