Milton S. Hathaway, 86, of Sagamore Hills, entered peacefully into eternal life on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 7:10 a.m. in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his loving family under the comforting care of hospice.

He was born July 14, 1935, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of the late Mandis and Ethel Hathaway.

Milton was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served his country proudly.

Milton graduated with an associate degree in Hydraulic Engineering and worked as a plant manager for Johnson and Johnson for some of his career.

Milton was a licensed pilot and had a passion for flying. He was also an avid gardener. He was also a member of the Masons and Shriners.

He is loved and will be deeply missed by his wife of 66 years, Marian, six children: Marie (John, deceased) Pavluk of Sagamore Hills, Mathew (Michelle) Hathaway of Columbus, Mitchell (Sally) Hathaway of Fayetteville, NC, Marlene (William) Hathaway-Zwegat of Sagamore Hills, Marlon (Kathleen) Hathaway of Macedonia; and Maureen (Len) Paoletta of Chagrin Falls; by a sister Rita Busch of Columbus; by fifteen grandchildren and by three great grandchildren.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral service.

A caring cremation will take place under the care of the Hine Funeral Home with inurnment at Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg.
