Naomi (Doty) Bailey, 71, of Madison, passed away peacefully, with family at her side, on June 9, 2017.
Born in Cleveland to the late Myrtle and Lawrence Doty, Naomi made northeast Ohio home for her entire life. After graduating from Mentor High School in 1964, she went on to receive her nursing degree from Lakeland Community College and found joy in helping others for nearly 40 years as a registered nurse within the Lake Hospital System and home healthcare. The only thing she loved more than owls and lady locks, was her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, of 34 years, Glenn Bailey, Sr.; sister, Irene (Gary) Evans; children, Pamela Richmond (Julie Hannen), Lawrence (Gayle) Richmond, Glenn Jr. (Stephanie) Bailey and Lisa Bailey; grandchildren, Alesia (Donna) Bailey, Alexander (Sophia) Richmond, Thomas, William, and James Richmond, Savannah Bailey and Seth Mendenhall; great-granddaughter, Kylia and soon to be born great-grandson Xander Richmond; nieces, Lisa Harnois and Jill Tate, Terri Doty; and extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle and Lawrence Doty, and brothers, Donald and Michael Doty.
The family would like to thank Terra, her hospice caretaker; Dr. Lazbin and the wonderful staff and volunteers at Hospice of the Western Reserve. A special thank you to the Rose family for all the love and support they provided in life, and death; and to the many friends and family who passed along words of encouragement and joyful memories that Naomi brought to their lives.
Naomi will be cremated and interred at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg. A private celebration/memorial will be held in her honor.
