NONA LYNN RICHIE was born in Kansas City, MO on August 1, 1954 and passed away on April 27, 2011 while living in Aurora, OH. She has gone on to a better place free of pain caused by the effects of cancer. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and caring of other people and animals. She was preceded in death by her cowboy father, Roy Yates, and her 3 beloved doggies: Adrian Lynn, Flash Annie, and Harley Don. She is survived by her beloved handsome hardworking husband of 37 years, Miles D. Richie II. Her supportive and loving parents, Nona May and Charles Van Os also survive. Others that she loved very much also live to carry on her spirit. These include her sisters, Linda May (Dennis), Donna Sue (Louis), Joy Elaine and her brothers, Clint Hollis and Steve Thomas as well as half brothers: Jef, Kiley, and Beau. Her sister-in-law, Marcia Barnes (Bob) survives her as well. Nona wishes the best for her nieces and nephews: Jeremy, Sommer, Craig (Katie), and Brittney. She will miss her curious and wonderful dog, Toby Raye tremendously; he was always by her side; they loved each other very much. She would like to acknowledge the support of her girlfriends over the past years: Becky, Carol, Pat, Ali, Claudia, Barb, and Brenda. Thank you for sharing my life and being there for me. Nona served in the United States Air Force in the early 1970''s. She enjoyed her teaching career of 26 years in Riverside, CA. She loved reading, her many traveling adventures with her husband, being out in nature, and enjoyed taking pictures and organizing them into albums. Cremation has taken place.
