IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Ann
(Barr) Lontor
April 26, 1941 – August 25, 2024
Patricia Ann (Barr) Lontor, daughter of Frank Poyser Barr, Jr. and Velma Mary (Sharrock) Barr of Bedford, Ohio; wife of Charles Lontor III of Cleveland, Ohio (deceased 2008); loving mother of Suzanne Lynne Lontor of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and Alison Pauline (Lontor) Deem (Richard Allen); caring grandmother of Kristin Lynne Deem; dear companion to her cat, Rocky.
Patricia was born on April 26, 1941, to Frank P. Barr, Jr. and Velma Mary (Sharrock) Barr in Bedford, Ohio. After graduating from Bedford High School in 1959, Pat went on to study Journalism at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where she met her husband, Charles (Chuck) Lontor III. Together they raised two daughters and through Chuck's career transfers with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, their travels took them to Henderson and Las Vegas, NV; Dallas, TX; Baltimore, MD; St. Louis, MO; Anchorage, AK; and Omaha, NE. In each location Pat made lasting friendships and participated in the community of artists through her passion for oil painting. She also contributed her time and energy to animal welfare advocacy and supported live theater productions and symphonies wherever her travels took her. She traveled not only throughout the United States but also around the world. Pat was a true believer in adventure, education, and new discoveries, as well as a lover of art, animals, nature, music, and all things beautiful in life. She was a docent at the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha for over thirty years.
